Our HISTORY

Nestled in the heart of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, in the center of VINELAND OF CAVA, Marqués de Monistrol has been part of the history of sparkling wine since 1882. Born among vineyards, ancient traditions and the unique landscape of the Penedès, our story has always been guided by a simple conviction: great wines are shaped by time.

Through generations, the winery has preserved the knowledge, patience and craftsmanship that define its character. From the first bottles crafted in the late nineteenth century to the wines and cavas enjoyed around the world today, every step has been driven by the same respect for origin and the same passion for excellence.

Nearly 150 years later, Marqués de Monistrol remains deeply connected to its roots while embracing the future with confidence. Because what began as a vision has become a legacy — one that continues to evolve with every harvest and every bottle shared.
